  The Faculty of Law at Al-Nahrain University was established in 1987. Its mission was and still is to prepare a competent generation of jurists in accordance with the latest scientific methods; In order to occupy important positions in the state, the college has been able over these years to provide the country with brilliant legal cadres, whether at the level of primary or postgraduate studies, which occupied the most prestigious positions in the state. The study at the Faculty of Law is characterized by its theoretical and practical nature. The student receives theoretical knowledge according to the latest scientific methods, and at the same time trains in the courts in the first and second years of his studies. He is also obligated to prepare a research for graduation under the supervision of one of the teachers. The Faculty of Law was distinguished in its scientific endeavor. Its graduates won the scientific competitions that took place in the past. Its professors and lecturers also contributed to the scientific research movement with research and literature, thus occupying the leading position in the field of faculties of law in Iraqi universities.
