It is with great regret that such a building and a house of God is left unattended. An overview of this cathedral: Father Pierre Al-Carmeli (died in 1962 AD) bought a large plot of land in the Al-Sinak area in Baghdad and built it in 1921 AD. -  That is why the church was known and is still called after him (Padre Pierre - Patri Pierre). - At first, they built a large hall, which today is the basement of the church. - In 1932 AD, he built the current church. - There was an orphanage next to it, run by Father Pierre himself. - - There was a school called (Al-Nash’a). - The church was built in 1922-1932 AD. - Designed and built by French engineer Patrick Bert in 1928 AD. - Also called (Battery Pierre Church). The most beautiful churches in Baghdad may be located in the Al-Sinak area, on the Rusafa side of Baghdad. The church consists of a large hall decorated with traditional carvings and religious statues of the Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ. - Built in the French Gothic style, the church is considered a masterpiece. - A church was subjected to many violations by street vendors and shop owners in the area, which led to its closure. These properties were donated by the Latin Carmelite Fathers to the Chaldean Patriarchate in 1966 AD. - The Patriarch then used it as his residence. - Transferring the orphans to the large building he built in Doura. - Al-Nasa’a School was converted into a secondary school (Al-Amal), which was later closed...and turned into a monastery for Chaldean nuns. - Currently the church is closed. A beautiful archaeological and heritage place, but unfortunately neglected after most of our beautiful, respected people from Christ emigrated.

The building of Saint Teresa Church, located in Al-Sinak in Baghdad, is built in the French Gothic style. It was designed, constructed, and supervised by engineer Patrick Pierre in 1928. This building was built in 1866 to replace a smaller church building that had been built in 1721 AD. As for Little Saint Teresa (French: Thérèse de Lisieux) or Teresa of the Child Jesus (January 2, 1873 - September 30, 1897), she was called “the Little Rose of Christ” in Christianity. She is a French Carmelite nun, one of the most famous saints of the Catholic Church. She was born in She entered the monastery in the city of Anise, France, when she was fifteen years old. Her monasticism was distinguished by extreme purity and meekness. She wrote the story of her life and called it “The Story of a Soul” (French: L’histoire d’une âme) by order of the abbots of the monastery, in which she explained her humble approach to achieving holiness by performing her daily duties with love and sincerity. Her memory is celebrated every year on September 30. It had a great impact on Christians of all denominations. Especially when Pope Pius X said that she was one of the greatest saints of the modern era. Since she was young, she felt a call to religious life and faced many difficulties while she was still a nun in 1888, when she was 15 years old, and her time was with her brothers in the Carmelite community in Lisieux in Normandy. After 9 years in monasticism, she died at the age of 24. She wrote a book called (The Story of a Soul), which is a collection of articles from her life story. This book was distributed a year after her death on a small scale, but its impact was very profound. Pope Pius XI recognized her as the star of his pontificate, and Catholics recognized her sainthood in 1925. She remains the patron saint of France until now.
