::Beautiful historical site that has been vandalised and burnt down, I hope a a serious effort to restore the building takes place, it’s sad to see such a breath taking place neglected

::The building was built during the era of the Iraqi Kingdom, and it was renovated and rebuilt in 1934 AD, as it was built in the English Victorian architectural style, and the building was exposed to fire and demolition during the invasion of Iraq in 2003 AD, and the building occupied several government departments previously, the last of which was the Baghdad Governorate Department in 1985 AD. The building is currently one of the archaeological buildings in Iraq, and it has been cleaned of ruins and litter, and its floors have been modified and recently used as a theater where various cultural events are shown.
