  The hours on Google said 8am - 3pm, but sometimes Google is wrong so I checked their website. They had no information at all about opening times. So i showed up at 8am and they said it's open 9am-2pm. I couldn't go because I would have missed my ride to Karbala. It's really important to have correct information for tourists who are trying to make a plan to see things. I've corrected the hours on Google but I'd like this place to update their website. Even worse, when I came back another day they told me it had been closed for 4 years. I added photos. It's empty. No art.

  The National Museum of Modern Art or the Museum of Modern Art, is one of the national museums interested in art, founded in 1962, and contains 7,000 works by many artists such as, Akram Shoukry, Hafez al-Droubi, Atta Sabry, Issa Hanna, Jawad Selim, Faeq Hassan, and Ismail al-Sheikhly And Khaled Al-Qassab, stole, destroyed and thieves destroyed many of its contents in the events of 2003, and the destruction included the huge Arts Center library, its historical archive, and all its other administrative properties,[1] 2000 artworks have been recovered and efforts are still ongoing to recover the remaining works.
