  A specialized surgical hospital that receives accidents, injuries, gunshot wounds, etc. An Iraqi-Arab Board Center for Studies.. It needs more attention and the provision of supplies.. It is very crowded and bears a lot of pressure from the surgical rooms and the rooms transferred from the rest of the governorate.. We have a respiratory care center, a burns department, consulting departments, a maternity hall for women’s wards, and a prematurity lounge for newborn babies.

  It is one of the oldest hospitals in Babylon Governorate / the city of Hilla / located in the center of the city. It is a large hospital specializing in surgeries. It was formerly called the Republican Hospital. Its area is large but not entirely used. Its building is old and dilapidated in addition to the fact that it is not according to international hospital standards. It does not have cleanliness or means of heating in the winter or cooling in the summer. It is not clean. The materials for surgical operations that patients need are not available. The MRI machines and scanners are most of the time idle and do not work.
