The mosque was designed to resemble the Taj Mahal in India, and was scheduled to be one of the largest mosques in the world, as its huge building could accommodate 15,000 worshipers, surmounted by a large dome 84 meters high, surrounded by 8 domes, each 28 meters high, each dome It includes 14 other smaller domes, 14 meters high. The place of the central dome is still open with a giant hole that was supposed to be covered with ceramic decorated with gold.
