  General Authority for Taxes The Iraqi Tax Corporation is one of the oldest tax institutions in the Arab countries and perhaps in the entire region. Iraq enacted its first income tax law following the establishment of the national government in 1920, as Income Tax Law No. 52 was issued in 1927. The Income Tax Directorate and the Real Estate Tax Directorate were formed in 1923, while the tax laws in the rest of the Arab countries were issued in the 1940s. However, Ottoman tax legislation remained prevalent in Iraq for centuries, which leads us to say that Iraq has a legislative history in the field of taxes from ancient times. .

  Respected Mr. Director General of the General Authority for Taxes...... Kind greetings.... His heirs sold the largest part of them to one of the heirs, and upon completion of the natural examination process, the transaction is sent to the competent tax branch..... and they must be taxed and The problem is in bringing them to the relevant branch because most of them are women or the elderly, and their number exceeds fifteen between women and men. The question is whether there is any place for one of them to be held accountable and pledge to pay each one of them if a tax is required. ....He is responsible for paying everything related to their tax liability....I personally checked with the relevant branch (income tax in Karrada), but the branch director refused to do so unless they were present before her. Isn’t this an abuse against people when tax services are available to people? In order for it to be a national service, knowing that most of these people are from the governorates...
