  There are computer engineering departments in other Karachi universities that are much better than it due to poor management, organization, and teaching methods that do not keep pace with scientific progress in this field in the world.

  The Computer Engineering Department was founded in 1997 in order to keep in line with the modern developments which are taking place rapidly in the field of information , computer technology , and software industries where it has first welcomed its students in (1997-1998). This technology has played an important role in the economies of many developing countries. At the department, the best students enroll to receive education in order to become members of a creative and innovative highly scientific staff; the study period is four years after gaining High school certificate.
