::Name of the mosque: Ahmed Rauf Mosque Location: Baghdad - Al-Baladiyat - District 738 Year of establishment and construction financing: Established in 1980 AD and funded by a donor Area and number of worshipers: Its total area is about 1000 square meters and the area of the sanctuary is 400 square meters and can accommodate about 600 worshipers. Components of the mosque: The mosque contains a house, a women’s sanctuary, a minaret, a washing machine, and a library Its activities: Holy Quran memorization courses, religious events, Friday sermons, and feminist work Obstacles that the mosque faced since its construction: * On February 23, 2006 AD, the mosque was subjected to acts of violence and vandalism that caused material damage to the mosque and led to its closure. Number of worshipers before the occupation: The number of worshipers in Friday prayers reached 300 worshipers and 90 worshipers in Maghrib prayers. Number of worshipers now: none Status of the mosque now: closed Some of the martyrs: Hajj Shaker Mahmoud, his son Ahmed Shaker, Bashar Nazim, Ali Faleh, Muhammad Abdel Jalil, and Muhammad Mahmoud Al Nuaimi.
