::Our tour 00 was in an old popular café that is considered a heritage landmark for the people of the building Shannon Café; One of those cafés was established in 1968 in one of the areas of the Grand Market in the city of Amara, the center of Maysan Governorate. It was called “East Café,” but the people of the city and those who frequented it were “Shannoun Café,” named after its owner, “Shannoun Dagher.” The café was and still is a meeting place for tribal sheikhs, retirees, and intellectuals from the city The children of the late Shannon talked about the history of the café, mentioning many cafés and their locations Personalities spoke with us, including a retired officer and a teaching professor at Al-Amarah Preparatory School, discussing many topics of interest to Iraqi society, especially Al-Maysani. They wished us a second meeting in the presence of many writers It was a pleasure to meet them.
