  The (old) British Embassy building in Baghdad It was closed in 1990 after the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait and the severance of diplomatic relations between Britain and Iraq. The old building and the land on which it stands are still considered British property

  The old British Embassy is located in the middle of Shop 218, separating Al-Karimat from Al-Shawaka. It overlooks the Tigris River from the Karkh side. It is one of the heritage buildings and a beautiful landmark due to its distinguished location that must be preserved, but unfortunately it is surrounded by waste, generators, and many violations, and this is inappropriate.
