::Al Khassaki Sweets is a well-known Iraqi bakery and sweet shop, offering a wide variety of treats including baklava, cakes, klecha with dates, and klecha with pistachio. They also provide special birthday cakes on request, featuring numerous designs and accessories. Recently, they have even added ice cream to their menu, which was a new discovery for me. However, I found that the taste of the sweets has changed. The flavors are more sugary than buttery, and the texture feels soggy rather than crispy. Additionally, the logo seems old and outdated, and the packaging does not align with modern designs—it consists of a paper box inside a cheap wooden box. The shop itself is spacious, allowing customers to browse and sample items from every corner. Despite these positives, I couldn't give a higher rating due to both the taste and the high prices. My order cost me 75,000 Iraqi dinars for 1 kg of mixed baklava and 0.5 kg of pistachio klecha. For reference, 1 kg of baklava alone costs 50,000 dinars, which is approximately $38.15 USD. I hope they consider my feedback and work on improving the taste, packaging, and prices.
